Network with colleagues during FACRL Dine-Arounds in downtown Tampa
Join members of the FACRL Board for dinner with colleagues dine-arounds on Thursday, October 19th during the FACRL Annual Conference. What is a dine-around? They are informal dinners at local restaurants that provide an opportunity for networking, stimulating conversation, and peer learning. Dine-arounds are a new feature at the FACRL Annual Conference allowing attendees to connect with colleagues on issues impacting academic libraries and to learn more about engagement opportunities with FACRL. When will dine-arounds take place? Dinner dine-arounds will take place on Thursday, October 19th from 7:00 - 8:30 pm at local restaurants in the downtown Tampa area. A list of local restaurants is available below. Dine-around hosts and participants will meet in the lobby of the Tampa Sheraton Riverwalk at 6:45 p.m. to arrange for transportation and make their way to the selected restaurant.
Where will dine-arounds take place? Following a survey of FACRL members the following two restaurants were selected as locations for the conference dine-arounds.
Ulele - Rustic-chic site for native Floridian fare, with barbacoa grilling & house-brewed beers.
Columbia Restaurant - Founded in 1905 by Cuban immigrant Casimiro Hernandez, Sr., the Columbia Restaurant is Florida’s oldest restaurant℠, and the largest Spanish restaurant in the world.

How many participants should I expect? To facilitate conversation, we plan for between six and ten guests.
