The Florida Chapter of ACRL (FACRL) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 FACRL Virtual Conference, taking place online on Thursday, October 8, and Friday, October 9, 2026. Register now!

This year's conference explores the theme Collaboration and Human Connection in Academic Libraries, highlighting innovative ideas, partnerships, and practices that strengthen our libraries and the communities we serve. 

We are excited to welcome Jessamyn West as our keynote speaker. Jessamyn is a library technologist in Orange County Vermont. She is a nationally known speaker, writer, and educator on the issues facing today's libraries. Her blog focusing on libraries and politics, Librarian.net, is one of the earliest and longest running librarian websites. She is the author of the book Without a Net: Librarians Bridging the Digital Divide. She works at her local public library and for the Flickr Foundation as a Community Lead for Flickr Commons. Her keynote address is titled, "Community Counters Contempt: How Forging Alliances Creates a More Just World and a Better Learning Environment.”
